school and property taxes
Make sure come November you vote for the tax cap on property taxes, a big part of our property taxes as homeowners in New Hampshire concerns school budget costs. This tax burden makes up the majority if not all of what we pay for property taxes. The tax cap will put a cap on tax increases and only allow the rate of inflation and a maximum 6% per year increases for administration increases. I feel we need to reign in what administration is paying themselves and concentrate more on our school teachers educating our children about basics not all the distractions of DEI and Gender identity that has zero to do with education. We seriously as a state need to consider getting away from the Department of Education in Washington and turn more control over to the states to regulate curriculum in a way that focuses on reading writing and arithmetic!
we need a system that is paying our teachers what they’re worth and setting standard of teaching that garners children being able to read write and add when they graduate. We also need all districts to provide trade school training to n carpentry, plumbing, electrical and home ec. It is an utter failure that some of our high school districts it is a reality hat these programs no longer even exist. We need to make sure our children are graduating with enough intelligence and skills and literacy to thrive. They should be educated enough not to be required to take pre-entrance exams, prerequisite classes in order to be ready for college, and we need to make sure that if our children are not going to college that they are at least trained in skills so that they can go into the workforce. A few examples, carpentry, plumbing, electrical. Sadly some school districts have all these programs while others don’t, the haves and have-nots. This needs to change! We need parody across the state when it comes to our children as written in our constitution for the state of New Hampshire it is clear our responsibility as leaders is to educate all of our children and prepare them for the real world.
